Spotlight on Kids @ JPAC

There is truly no other organization quite like SpotLight On Kids & footlights productions in southern Wisconsin. Most children’s theatre companies cast kids in only a few roles. SOK purposely expands the number of roles in productions so that more kids, many of whom have never acted before, get the opportunity to perform. Our school productions for local students are cast entirely with children so that young people are bringing live theatre to other young people.

But our programs are more than just entertainment: we provide workshops and classes; we offer production opportunities for people of all ages; we teach life skills: self-confidence, cooperation, creative problem solving, teamwork, and discipline; we open our doors to all, regardless of financial status; we work in schools with teachers and students in artistic and issue-oriented programs; we create programs for mature audiences with our adult off-shoot, footlights productions.
